Basketball Recap: Galt Comes Up Short

Galt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They took a blow against the Argonaut Mustangs, falling 77-44. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-52 back in January.

Galt's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Anthony Rose-Garcia, who went 6 for 11 to rack up 16 points, and Carson Cagle, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points.

Mitchell Mcmahan was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 27 points and 11 boards for Argonaut. Mcmahan is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last seven games he's played. JJ Lungren was another key player, going 8 for 19 en route to 18 points and seven boards.

Galt's record now sits at 1-24. As for Argonaut, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Galt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-32 loss against Bradshaw Christian on the 10th. As for Argonaut, they have also already played their next contest, a 67-55 win against Rosemont on the 11th.
