Softball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

After flying high against Chester County on Wednesday, Lexington came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the McNairy Central Bobcats by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-3 loss on Tuesday.

Kk Simko was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Holly Bartholomew, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 30-15-2. As for McNairy Central, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-8.

As of now, neither Lexington nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
