Softball Recap: Carter-Riverside Takes a Loss

If Carter-Riverside was riding high fresh off their 13-7 takedown of Diamond Hill-Jarvis last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Carter-Riverside Eagles fell just short of the Southwest Raiders by a score of 9-8 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2020.

Carter-Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Southwest, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Carter-Riverside will venture away from home to challenge Western Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Hills has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.44 runs per game on average), something Carter-Riverside will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Southwest, they will take on Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
