After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five games, El Capitan finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They came up short against the Page Sand Devils, falling 10-1. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

El Capitan saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Hammon, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Aiyanna Hammon also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

El Capitan's loss dropped their record down to 11-9-1. As for Page, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

El Capitan will challenge Mayer at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Page, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-5 win against Tuba City on the 16th.
