Softball Game Preview: Kamiakin Braves vs. Mead Panthers

The Kamiakin Braves are taking a road trip to face off against the Mead Panthers on Tuesday. Kamiakin's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Mead's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Kamiakin heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Friday. They fell just short of Richland by a score of 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Bombers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Kamiakin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordynn Marquez, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Mead took on Lewis & Clark on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Tigers 20-3. Considering the Panthers have won ten matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mead's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Kamiakin, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.

Kamiakin took their victory against Mead in their previous matchup back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 10-4 score. Do the Braves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
