Volleyball Game Preview: Conroe Tigers vs. Grand Oaks Grizzlies

Conroe hasn't had much luck against Grand Oaks recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will face off against the Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m.

Conroe lost 3-0 to Oak Ridge on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Grand Oaks came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with nine straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-15, 25-19.

Grand Oaks' win came from a few key players Conroe will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Julia Flessas, who had eight digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cambrie Cavanaugh, who had three digs and two aces.

Grand Oaks was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive contests.

Conroe's defeat dropped their record down to 17-21. As for Grand Oaks, their record now sits at 29-8.

Conroe suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Grand Oaks in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
