Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wharton). They strolled past the Bay City Blackcats with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 59-40. The Tigers didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Despite the defeat, Bay City had strong showings from Jacayla Eaton, who posted eight points and 13 rebounds, and Khylee Perry, who earned 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Eaton a new career-high in boards. Sasha Onwuchekwa was another key player, putting up five points and 12 rebounds.

Wharton's win bumped their record up to 11-19. As for Bay City, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-10.

Wharton has already played their next game, a 62-27 defeat against Brazosport on the 4th. As for Bay City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-18 victory against Needville on the 4th.
