Lyons is a perfect 3-0 against St. Francis since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Lions will head out to face off against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Lyons is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

On Tuesday, Lyons beat Hinsdale Central 2-0.

Lyons not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hinsdale Central between 20 and 21 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20.

Meanwhile, St. Francis came up short against Brother Rice on Friday and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15.

Lyons' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-8. As for St. Francis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-21 record this season.

Lyons beat St. Francis 2-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
