Baseball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Franklin County's offense. They came up short against the Woodford County Yellowjackets on Wednesday, falling 7-0. The Flyers haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Woodford County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.

Franklin County will square off against Lloyd Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Woodford County, they are taking a road trip to take on Frederick Douglass at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Yellowjackets 3.7, the Broncos 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
