Basketball Recap: Tohatchi Beats Aztec for Their Third Straight Win

If Aztec wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Tohatchi, they should've done a better job of containing Josh Dawes. The Tohatchi Cougars blew past the Aztec Tigers 80-59 on Friday thanks in part to Dawes, who almost dropped a triple-double on 23 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in February.

The win was the third in a row for Tohatchi, bringing their record for this year to 8-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Aztec, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Tohatchi didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-50 defeat against Robertson on the 21st. As for Aztec, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-54 victory against Bayfield on the 21st.
