Basketball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central lost against Montpelier back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The North Central Eagles were outmatched by the Montpelier Locomotives and fell 47-20. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 620th, while the Locomotives are ranked 210th).

North Central dropped their record down to 8-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Montpelier, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

North Central will challenge Edgerton at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Central is facing Edgerton at the right time seeing as Edgerton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Montpelier, they are taking a road trip to challenge Continental at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Montpelier will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
