Volleyball Recap: Morgan County's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Morgan County waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Abby Dennard paced Morgan County's offense, picking up ten kills. Dennard got some help from Graycen Cawthon and her nine assists. Cawthon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Morgan County's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Monroe Area, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.

Morgan County has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Athens Academy on the 19th. As for Monroe Area, they will take on Berkmar at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
