Volleyball Recap: Bishop Guilfoyle Takes a Loss

Bishop Guilfoyle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Forest Hills Rangers. If the Marauders were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Rangers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Forest Hills scored at least 12 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 18-25, 15-12.

Carter Stoykovich had a dynamite game For Forest Hills., getting 19 digs and one assist.

Bishop Guilfoyle's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Forest Hills, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Bishop Guilfoyle and Forest Hills will both be playing Central the next time they take the court. Forest Hills will host Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Bishop Guilfoyle will host them at 7:00 p.m. on April 9.
