Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pembroke Pines Charter walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Somerset Academy Panthers on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Jaguars, who have now won ten matchups in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Elier Gil, who had 15 digs. He has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times he's played. Jonathan Rios also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Pembroke Pines Charter was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in March.

Pembroke Pines Charter's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Somerset Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-10.

Coming up, Pembroke Pines Charter will take on Belen Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Jaguars' favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while the Wolverines have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. Somerset Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
