Softball Recap: Gilbert Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Gilbert Classical Academy's offense. They lost 19-0 to the Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Spartans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Gilbert Classical Academy dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Santa Cruz Valley, their record now sits at 8-3.

Coincidentally, Gilbert Classical Academy and Santa Cruz Valley will both be playing ALA - Anthem South the next time they take the field. Gilbert Classical Academy will host ALA - Anthem South at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Santa Cruz Valley will head out to face them at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
