Soccer Game Preview: Liberty Common vs. Fort Collins

The Liberty Common Eagles will square off against the Fort Collins Lambkins at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Liberty Common had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least four goals, but Weld Central put an end to it on Tuesday. The Eagles came up short against the Rebels, falling 3-0. Liberty Common's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Fort Collins waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the SaberCats by a score of 3-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given Fort Collins' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Fossil Ridge are ranked 17th).

Fort Collins' win bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Liberty Common, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1-1 and their overall record down to 8-4-2.
