High Tech Mesa won the last time they faced Chula Vista Learning Community Charter and things went their way on Friday too. The Thunder narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cobras 9-7. That's two games straight that the Thunder have won by exactly two runs.

The team relied heavily on Jonah Monroe, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of KJ Allen, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.

High Tech Mesa has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.5 runs this season. As for Chula Vista Learning Community Charter, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
