Mendez is 7-1 against Roybal since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Mendez's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They blew past Belmont 15-0. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Sentinels recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last match, Roybal made sure to put some runs up on the board against Robert F. Kennedy Community last Thursday. The Titans put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 13-0 victory.

Not much got past Glenda Toc, who gave up just a hit to keep Robert F. Kennedy Community off the board.

At the plate, Brianna Garcia was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Kimberly Hernandez was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI.

Roybal always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .889. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Mendez pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.4 runs over those games. As for Roybal, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
