Football Recap: Arcadia Titans vs. St. Mary's Knights

Arcadia had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the St. Mary's Knights 50-25 on Friday. Considering the Titans have won nine matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryan Jimenez was his usual excellent self, rushing for 161 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, and also picking up 30 receiving yards. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 146 rushing yards. Jax Ashley was another key rusher, rushing for 85 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Arcadia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 302 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Arcadia's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Julien Olshan and Joseph Hala, who racked up five sacks between them. Arcadia got some further help from Braden Knaub: he forced one fumble and made 15 total tackles.

Despite the defeat, St. Mary's had strong showings from Anthony Cannon, who picked up 176 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Luke Horn, who threw for 240 yards and two TDs.
