Basketball Recap: Kasson-Mantorville Comes Up Short

Kasson-Mantorville lost against Stewartville back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kasson-Mantorville Komets fell 61-53 to the Stewartville Tigers.

It was another big night for Audrey Shindelar, who went 10 for 20 en route to 21 points and five assists for Stewartville. Shindelar's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Addison Ruffridge, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 11 points and three blocks.

Kasson-Mantorville's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Stewartville, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kasson-Mantorville will face off against Hastings at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hastings will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Kasson-Mantorville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stewartville, they will take on Cannon Falls at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
