Softball Recap: Harris County Tigers vs. Columbus Blue Devils

Everything went the Harris County Tigers' way against the Columbus Blue Devils as the Harris County Tigers made off with a 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won nine matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Riley Huckaby made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and a double.
In other batting news, Chloe Wolfenbarger was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three runs while going 3-for-4. The win (which was Harris County's third in a row) raised their record to 17-2. As for Columbus, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-6 record.
Harris County will take on Houston County at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Harris County's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Houston County's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Columbus, they will face off against Northside at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
