Malden entered their tilt with Sikeston on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The Green Wave were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Bulldogs, so the Green Wave were just returning the favor.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-18, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Sikeston saw an underclassman step up: freshman Londyn Mitchell had 16 digs and one assist. Mitchell is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Malden's win bumped their record up to 17-6-3. As for Sikeston, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 9-13-1 record.

Malden will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against North Pemiscot at 6:30 p.m. on the 20th. As for Sikeston, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Kennett on the 14th.
