Softball Recap: New Fairfield Takes a Loss

New Fairfield and Nonnewaug squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but New Fairfield had to settle for second. They lost 13-1 to the Chiefs. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Rebels couldn't push the score so high this time.

New Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Nonnewaug, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 25-1.

New Fairfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nonnewaug, they will venture away from home to face off against Foran at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions will roll in looking for their 27th straight win, something the Chiefs surely won't give up without a fight.
