Recap: Grove Christian School Falcons vs. Richmond Christian Warriors

The Grove Christian School Falcons struggled with assists on Friday (the Richmond Christian Warriors had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Grove Christian School was outmatched by Richmond Christian on the road and fell 58-13. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Grove Christian School in their matchups with Richmond Christian: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite the loss, Grove Christian School saw an underclassman step up: Sidney Fisher almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Fisher hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for seven straight games.

Leading Richmond Christian to victory were Morgan Trimble and Kailah Carter. Trimble scored 16 points along with eight steals and five assists, while Carter scored 34 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carter has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian Gravatt, who scored two points along with three steals.

Grove Christian School now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Richmond Christian, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Grove Christian School will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against The New Community School at 5:45 p.m. on February 12th. Grove Christian School is facing The New Community School at the right time seeing as The New Community School is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Richmond Christian, they will be playing at home against Fuqua at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Fuqua will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 385th, while Richmond Christian is ranked 173rd).
