A well-balanced attack led Hobbton over Union in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. The Hobbton Wildcats were the clear victor by a 66-40 margin over the Union Spartans. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-15.

Hobbton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Richard Simpson, who posted 21 points. Another player making a difference was Amir Tate, who scored 18 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Hobbton and bumps their season record up to 9-11. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 3-17 Union and 3-16 Union. As for Union, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hobbton will challenge North Duplin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Duplin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Hobbton likes a good challenge.
