Meanwhile, Yuba City scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 49-48 to Placer. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (34), the Honkers still had to take the loss.
Twelve Bridges will have to contain Cody Haase as he made an impact in Yuba City's last game. He rushed for 151 yards and four scores on only 15 carries, and also caught one touchdown. Another back making a difference was Hank Watson, who rushed for 173 yards on only 11 carries.
Twelve Bridges' win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Yuba City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Twelve Bridges has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 302.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Yuba City struggles in that department as they've been averaging 214.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
