Football Recap: Ozark Takes a Loss

Ozark had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-5 to make it four. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 42-41 to the Glendale Falcons. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 22-21 to the Falcons when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Glendale, they now have a winning record of 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since October 11, 2024.

Glendale got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cash Newberry out in front who threw for 316 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt, and also punched in one score on the ground. That rushing touchdown was Newberry's first of the season. Joelle Rover was Newberry's top target, picking up 128 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ozark will welcome Nixa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups. As for Glendale, they will host Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
