The Novinger Wildcats will be playing at home against the Atlanta Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Novinger has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Atlanta will arrive with four straight wins.
Novinger suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Green City on the road and fell 77-27. Novinger has struggled against Green City recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Atlanta didn't have too much trouble with Marshall on the road last Tuesday as they won 57-42. Given Atlanta's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while Marshall is ranked 389th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Novinger dropped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for Atlanta, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
