Baseball Recap: Paetow Beats Morton Ranch for Their Fourth Straight Win

Paetow waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Morton Ranch Mavericks by a score of 8-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-3 last Friday.

Elijah Chisam looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Those two hits allowed gave him a new career-low.

At the plate, Yarel Delgado was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Paetow: the team is 6-2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-7 otherwise. Matthew Scott was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Paetow's record now sits at 7-9-1. As for Morton Ranch, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Paetow Panthers take on Cinco Ranch Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Morton Ranch, they will host Tompkins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tompkins will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Morton Ranch surely won't give up without a fight.
