Volleyball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Springfield can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Normal University Pioneers on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Normal University was led to victory by Emma Jean Lehnen and Kylie Stanton. Lehnen had eight digs and one assist, while Stanton had six digs and two aces. That's the most digs Lehnen has posted since back in October.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 24-10. As for Normal University, the victory was the 26th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 34-4.

As of now, neither Springfield nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
