Basketball Recap: Eldred Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Eldred had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past the Greenburgh-North Castle Knights with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 54-39. The win was nothing new for the Yellowjackets as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Leading Eldred to victory were Trai Kaufmann and Koen McGill. Kaufmann dropped a double-double with 25 points and 12 boards, while McGill dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Kaufmann's big performance that evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

Eldred's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Greenburgh-North Castle, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Coming up, Eldred will challenge Bridgehampton at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bridgehampton will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something Eldred surely won't give up without a fight. Greenburgh-North Castle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
