Baseball Recap: Guymon Comes Up Short at Home Against Guthrie

Guymon unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 20-4 to the Guthrie Bluejays on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Guymon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drazen Romero, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Wyett Durbin was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Guymon Tigers face off against Turpin Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Guthrie, they will face off against Kingfisher at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
