Soccer Recap: LaBelle Comes Up Short

LaBelle lost against Immokalee back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Immokalee Indians. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys/Cowgirls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Indians are ranked 38th).

Zaiden Ruiz and DAMIAN RUIZ scored both of LaBelle's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

LaBelle has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Immokalee, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2-1.

LaBelle will host Oasis at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oasis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.7 goals per game this season. As for Immokalee, they will be taking part in a tournament against Barron Collier at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Immokalee also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 4.5 goals per game.
