Softball Recap: Coxsackie-Athens Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

While Coxsackie-Athens's win against Catskill wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Riverhawks had just enough and edged out the Cats 5-4 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Riverhawks in their matchups with the Cats: they've now won four in a row.

Coxsackie-Athens pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Catskill, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
