Cactus has gone 7-1 against Ironwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cobras will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 3:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Cactus came up short against Deer Valley and fell 6-2.

Cactus saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhyan Enos, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, Ironwood suffered their closest loss since March 27, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Centennial by a score of 5-3. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison Monahan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Ironwood's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Cactus, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-7.

Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Cactus hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317. However, it's not like Ironwood struggles in that department as they've averaged .374. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went Cactus' way against Ironwood in their previous matchup back in February, as Cactus made off with a 14-2 victory. Will the Cobras repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
