Basketball Game Preview: Inter-City Baptist Chargers vs. Lutheran Northwest Crusaders

The Inter-City Baptist Chargers will face off against the Lutheran Northwest Crusaders at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Inter-City Baptist knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Lutheran Northwest likes a good challenge.

Inter-City Baptist took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 68-19 win over Clarenceville. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lutheran Northwest beat Roeper 51-38 on Wednesday.

Lutheran Northwest's win came from a few key players Inter-City Baptist will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Andrew Kasat, who went 7 for 15 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Henry, who posted nine points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Inter-City Baptist's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Lutheran Northwest, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.
