Volleyball Recap: Seeger Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

There's no place like home for Seeger, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the Fountain Central Mustangs by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

While Seeger won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-8.

Seeger was led to victory by Aubrey Spear and Aubry Herbert. Spear had six digs and three aces, while Herbert had six digs and four aces. That's the most aces Herbert has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good servers: Seeger was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive matchups.

Seeger's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. As for Fountain Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Seeger wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Covington on the 27th. As for Fountain Central, they will venture away from home to take on North Putnam at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
