Basketball Recap: Gaston Day Comes Up Short

Gaston Day played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 57-21 loss at the hands of the Westminster Catawba Christian Indians. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-9.

Westminster Catawba Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Leah Ross, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Ross has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Myana Fore, who posted 20 points and four steals.
