Football Game Preview: Holy Spirit Spartans vs. Ocean City Raiders

The Holy Spirit Spartans will square off against the Ocean City Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Holy Spirit took a loss when they played away from home back in September, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 45-7 victory over Delsea. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Ocean City got themselves on the board against Middle Township on Friday, but Middle Township never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 48-0 victory over the Panthers. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Raiders considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.

The win got Holy Spirit back to even at 3-3. As for Ocean City, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Holy Spirit came out on top in a nail-biter against Ocean City when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 15-13. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
