Soccer Recap: Batesville Takes a Loss

Batesville fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against East Central on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 1-0. Batesville haven't had much luck with East Central recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Batesville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-2. As for East Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Batesville will challenge Connersville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Batesville's defense better be ready for this one: Connersville have averaged an impressive 2.7 goals per game this season. As for East Central, they will take on Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
