Two dominant guards in Raina Burns and Brayla Harris are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Laney Wildcats just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Butler Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Laney took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They managed a 59-54 win over Burke County.

Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Glenn Hills out of the water with a 78-10 final score. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Butler's win came from a few key players Laney will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaidyn Moore, who went 9 for 13 en route to 19 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (two). Another player making a difference was Paris Floyd, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 13 points and eight steals.

Butler smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matches.

Laney's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Butler, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.
