Basketball Recap: Wapahani Falls Short of Alexandria-Monroe in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wapahani can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 54-23 loss at the hands of the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers. The match marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Jacklynn Hosier was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards for Alexandria-Monroe. Hosier is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 49 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Conleigh Davidson, who posted ten points and three steals.

Wapahani's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Alexandria-Monroe, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 25-1.

Wapahani does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they will face off against Rensselaer Central at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rensselaer Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season.
