On the hitting side, Ellie Snyder was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Melissa Gonzalez, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Combs' victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Apache Junction, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.
