Softball Recap: Wood-Ridge Takes a Loss

Wood-Ridge easily dispatched Garfield on Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Hasbrouck Heights Aviators by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Aviators earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Brooke Stellato made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Natalia Nieves also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Wood-Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Hasbrouck Heights, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Wood-Ridge nor the Aviators have any future games scheduled.
