Soccer Recap: Carlmont Gets the Win

Carlmont won the last time they faced South San Francisco and things went their way on Friday too. The Carlmont Scots had just enough and edged the South San Francisco Warriors out 2-1. Given the Scots' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Warriors are ranked 703rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carlmont now has a winning record of 6-5-1. As for South San Francisco, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-7-2.

Carlmont didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Sequoia on the 29th. As for South San Francisco, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Menlo-Atherton on the 29th.
