Volleyball Recap: Archangels Catholic Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clarkson/Leigh, Archangels Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Elba Bluejays. The victory continues a trend for the Defenders in their matchups with the Bluejays: they've now won eight in a row.

While Archangels Catholic won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20.

Kali Jarosz paced Archangels Catholic's offense, picking up eight kills. Jarosz got some help from Tatum Classen and her 19 assists. Jarosz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Archangels Catholic's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Elba, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season.

Archangels Catholic has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Palmer on the 14th. As for Elba, they will take on Riverside in a tournament on Thursday.
