Baseball Recap: Newport - Bellevue Comes Up Short

Newport - Bellevue's last matchup with Woodinville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The Knights lost 11-2 to the Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in March.

Newport - Bellevue saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Unay, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Newport - Bellevue has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-9-1 record this season. As for Woodinville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newport - Bellevue will head out to challenge Mount Si at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Woodinville, they will challenge Kamiak at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
