Softball Recap: Northwest Triumphs

Northwest's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 20-19 victory over the East Blue Aces. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Blue Aces recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Audriana Luna was incredible, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with five runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophia Bowers, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Northwest now has a winning record of 9-8. As for East, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Northwest beat the Blue Aces by a score of 26-11 later that day.
