Football Recap: Wayland Comes Up Short

Wayland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 68-40 defeat at the hands of the Bedford Buccaneers. On the bright side, the 40- point performance marked the Warriors' highest-scoring contest to date.

Wayland's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bedford, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Wayland will venture away from home to challenge Concord-Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bedford, they will head out to face off against Lincoln-Sudbury at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
