            The Poston Butte Broncos will head out on the road to  square off against  the Coconino Panthers  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Coconino will  challenge  a team with plenty of momentum: Poston Butte extended their winning streak to six on Wednesday. The Broncos put the hurt on ALA - Gilbert North with a sharp  20-5 win.
 Haylee Lopez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up  four earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news, Poston Butte got a  massive  performance out of  Kimberly Westover, who  went 2-for-5 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.  Chloe Morgan was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Poston Butte was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .452. They are 11-2 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
 Meanwhile, Coconino made easy work of Mingus  on Thursday and carried off  an  11-1 victory. The  win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on 11 straight.
 Coconino pushed their record up to 16-4 with the  victory, which was their sixth straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Poston Butte, their record now sits at 12-5.
